Teyana Taylor Buys Out Nail Designer Press on Nails on Blackout Tuesday

Singer and Model, Teyana Taylor, stole the hearts of black business owners after buying and publicizing a nail tech’s press-on nails on Blackout Tuesday.
The business owner Asia, a nail tech as well as makeup artist, publicized her business on twitter for the Blackout Tuesday which was set up to support black businesses. She also tweeted at Taylor, offering to gift her a box of press-on nails for free. Teyana Taylor refused to collect the nail creations without pay and instead asked the MUA for her website link so that she could buy a box.
“I much rather support and buy them, you have a website?” Taylor tweeted back at the business owner.
Asia responded speedily with a link to her website and Teyana bought a box for herself. Afterward, she replied with the tweet, “Just purchased! Thank you.”
This encouraged more people to patronize the business owner and before the end of the blackout Friday, the nail tech was sold out.
But Teyana Taylor did not stop there. She also retweeted posts about the luxury candle line Femme Candles, though her shade was already sold out. Even though she didn’t buy anything for this reason, her retweet publicized the business and boosted sales for the business owner.
“Love the candles but my complexion sold out sis! U gotta restock.” Teyana tweeted.
“Just like that, sis sold out. Love to see it!!!” the business owner, Alexus, tweeted later.
Teyana Taylor has been known to be one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry and has stood as a role model for black women. Teyana is also expecting her second baby with her husband, Iman Shumpert. She’s made her name in business by opening her own nail salon named after her daughter Junie, but she recently announced that she would be leaving the location with hopes of reopening in her own suite versus a suite she was renting.
Many fans spoke up in support of Teyanna’s decision especially in these times when we are part of a movement in support of black ownership and empowerment. She’s still making moves in the beauty industry with the launch of her own collection with MAC.
